The Hon. S.E. CLOSE (Port Adelaide—Deputy Premier, Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, Minister for Defence and Space Industries, Minister for Climate, Environment and Water): I have been advised:

Commencing in 2022-23, $1 million per year indexed annually has been allocated to specifically resource the higher education function. In addition, funding of $1 million has been allocated in 2022-23 to establish a commission to advise the government on a university merger.
