The Hon. K.J. MAHER (Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Attorney-General, Minister for Industrial Relations and Public Sector): I have been advised:

1. Legal Practitioners Act 1981 income has been reduced due to lower interest rates in recent years.

2. The revenue shortfall is in the order of $2 million per annum noting it is now expected that interest rates will continue to increase.
