The Hon. K.J. MAHER (Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Attorney-General, Minister for Industrial Relations and Public Sector): I have been advised:
As at 12 July 2022, there have been a total of 153 COVID-19 claims received under the Return to Work Scheme (excluding claims received by self-insured employers). Of those 153 claims:
121 have been accepted;
13 have not been accepted
4 are pending a determination;
5 were withdrawn;
10 are recorded as incidents only.
The average cost per accepted claim under the Return to Work Scheme is $2,488.
In relation to self-insurers (including Crown), as at 14 July 2022, there have been a total of 44 claims lodged. Of those 44 claims:
24 have been accepted;
11 have not been accepted;
6 are pending a determination;
3 were withdrawn.
The average cost per accepted claim for self-insured claims is $2,517.
