Renmark Police Station
In reply to Mr WHETSTONE (Chaffey) ((22 June 2022).). (Estimates Committee B)
The Hon. J.K. SZAKACS (Cheltenham—Minister for Police, Emergency Services and Correctional Services): I have been advised:
Renmark Police Station functions as a 24-hour seven-day operational patrol response and currently does not provide dedicated station personnel to provide front counter administrative services.
A dedicated front counter service has not been provided at Renmark Police Station since June 2015. Notwithstanding, ad hoc front counter administrative services will be provided when a police officer is present at the station and able to operate front counter services, or at other times by appointment during business hours Monday to Friday.
New signs are to be situated at the front of the station styled using SAPOL's new corporate logo and will contain necessary contact information including advising members of the public that the police station is open for business, or when police are on patrol members of the public are to contact 131 444 for Police assistance or 000 in an emergency.
The nearest police station is at Berri, which provides a 24-hour seven-day front counter administrative services and an operational patrol response.
