Minor Capital Works

In reply to the Hon. D.J. SPEIRS (Black—Leader of the Opposition) ((23 June 2022).). (Estimates Committee A)

The Hon. S.E. CLOSE (Port Adelaide—Deputy Premier, Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, Minister for Defence and Space Industries, Minister for Climate, Environment and Water): I have been advised:

The Minor Capital Works and Equipment Program is applied across all of the Department's business areas to replace, renew, enhance or create assets.

The 2022-23 Program budget of $5.141 million has been allocated across the Department's Divisions. In addition to the regular Minor Capital Works and Equipment Program allocation for 2022-23, additional funding of $1.640 million has been allocated to the Department for three time-limited projects:

$0.220 million for the Land Services Commercialisation Project;

$0.250 million for a Government Energy Fund project in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens; and

$1.170 million for works at the Cleland Wildlife Precinct.

These projects are not classified as major projects, and are therefore captured as part of the Minor Capital Works Program in the Investing Summary for the department.
