Investment Program
In reply to Mr WHETSTONE (Chaffey) ((22 June 2022).). (Estimates Committee B)
The Hon. J.K. SZAKACS (Cheltenham—Minister for Police, Emergency Services and Correctional Services): I have been advised:
The decrease in the investment budget is predominantly due to the decrease in the budget of the Communication Centre upgrade project in 2022-23 (original budget of $9.868Â million in 2021-22) and lower lease acquisition expenditure in 2022-23 (decrease of $20.576 million compared to the 2021-22 original budget).
The decrease in funding reflects the cyclical nature of SAPOL's investing program.
