Consultants and Contractors
In reply to Mr TELFER (Flinders) (25 June 2025). (Estimates Committee A)
The Hon. J.K. SZAKACS (Cheltenham—Minister for Trade and Investment, Minister for Local Government, Minister for Veterans' Affairs): I have been advised that for the Office of Local Government in the Department for Housing and Urban Development (DHUD):
Due to the 2025-26 financial year having just commenced, total costs and details in relation to external consultants and contractors for 2025-26 is not yet available. However, as currently reported in the DHUD Forward Procurement Plan for 2025-26, the estimated procurement value for contractors in 2025-26 is $0.294 million. DHUD will continue to disclose throughout the year the appointment of consultants and contractors publicly on the SA Tenders and Contracts website in accordance with Premier and Cabinet Circular 27. In addition to this, information relating to annual expenditure on consultants and contractors is disclosed in DHUD’s annual report.
At 30 June 2025, the Office of Local Government has appointed one consultant or contractor where a cost will be incurred during the 2025- 26.
The following is a summary of external consultants that have been engaged at a total estimated cost above $10,000, the nature of work undertaken, and the estimated cost for 2025-26.
Consultancies | Purpose | Total Estimated Cost |
