Consultants and Contractors
In reply to the Hon. J.A.W. GARDNER (Morialta) (23 June 2025). (Estimates Committee A)
The Hon. B.I. BOYER (Wright—Minister for Education, Training and Skills): I have been advised that for the Office for Early Childhood Development:
All planned procurement and contracted providers above $55,000 are published on Procurement SA Procurement Activity Reporting System (PARS) in accordance with the South Australian Procurement Framework and guidelines.
Any expenditure associated with consultants or contractors for 2025-26 would be part of the supplies and services budget outlined in the 2025-26 Agency Statements, Volume 1, page 203.
Due to the nature of the being a steward for the early childhood sector and responsible for a complex reform agenda, business needs and contractor usage are evolving and informed by reform planning, procurement outcomes, emerging sector requirements and co-design recommendations. Subsequently, these are not able to be quantified in advance.
The details of all contractors and consultants that were engaged in the 2024-25 financial year above $10,000 will be published in the Office for Early Childhood Development’s 2024-25 annual report, reflecting the annual reporting nature of this information.
