There are complex factors which drive the numbers of lodgement and finalisation numbers in the Youth Court.
Among other things, the 2024-25 projection factored in the introduction of specialist Youth Court proceedings, such as the Youth Aboriginal Community Court Adelaide (YACCA), which anticipated a reduction in reoffending from this cohort.
