Multicultural Priorities Fund

In reply to the Hon. J.A.W. GARDNER (Morialta—Deputy Leader of the Opposition) (4 July 2023). (Estimates Committee A)

The Hon. Z.L. BETTISON (Ramsay—Minister for Tourism, Minister for Multicultural Affairs): I have been advised that the Multicultural Priorities Fund differs from other Multicultural Affairs grant programs in that organisations submit funding proposals in writing to the minister's office.

On such occasions, the proposals are assessed by multicultural affairs on a case by case basis, in accordance with the Department of Premier and Cabinet's internal Multicultural Priorities Fund Procedures.

Multicultural Affairs provides recommendations to the minister to approve and notify recipients. Grant agreements are entered into, and funds are disbursed, in accordance with Treasurer's Instructions.
