Planning and Land Use Services

In reply to Mr TELFER (Flinders) (5 July 2023). (Estimates Committee B)

The Hon. N.D. CHAMPION (Taylor—Minister for Trade and Investment, Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Minister for Planning): I have been advised:

The $3.8 million increase in net cost of services for Planning and Land Use Services in 2023-24 is attributed to the following:

The primary increase was for depreciation in relation to the Plan SA e-planning portal and system ($1.6 million).

Other variations include post-budget adjustments under machinery-of-government changes to align with final chief executive agreements on budget transfers, standard indexation on expenditure, supplementation for increases to the superannuation guarantee in 2022-23 and 2023-24, and changes in the allocation methodology for corporate overheads across the department.
