Field River Valley

The Hon. S.E. CLOSE (Port Adelaide—Deputy Premier, Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, Minister for Defence and Space Industries, Minister for Climate, Environment and Water): I have been advised:

Two separate land acquisitions constitute the Field River Valley project. One portion of land, formerly managed by the Commissioner for Highways, was acquired for a purchase price of $1,640,013. The second portion of land, formerly privately owned, was acquired for the purchase price of $1,350,000. This amounts to the total project cost of $2.990 million on page 138 of the Agency Statement.

The figure on page 40 of the Budget Measures Statement is comprised of the purchase price for the private land ($1,350,000) and operating and restoration initiatives following acquisition ($500,000). The purchase price for the Commissioner for Highways land ($1,640,013) is not included on this page of the Budget Measures Statement.
