Executive Appointments

In reply to Mr WHETSTONE (Chaffey) (3 July 2023). (Estimates Committee A)

The Hon. S.E. CLOSE (Port Adelaide—Deputy Premier, Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, Minister for Defence and Space Industries, Minister for Climate, Environment and Water): I have been advised that for the Department for Industry, Innovation and Science:

Since 1 July 2022, appointments have been made to fill four existing vacant executive positions. In addition, appointments have been made to two new positions delivering on election commitments and strategic priorities.

New appointments to existing executive positions:

Director, Industry and Workforce Capability SAES-1
Executive Director, Industry and Workforce Capability SAES-2


New positions delivering on election commitments and strategic priorities:

Director, Green Industrial Transition SAES-1
Director, Higher and International Education SAES-1


The total annual employment cost relating to new appointments to existing positions is $0.85 million (excluding on costs) and $0.45 million (excluding on costs) relating to new positions delivering on election commitments and strategic priorities.

Individual executive total remuneration package values (TRPV) as detailed in schedule 2 of an executive employee's contract will not be disclosed as it is deemed to be unreasonable disclosure of personal affairs.
