Environment Department

In reply to Mr PATTERSON (Morphett) ((23 June 2022).). (Estimates Committee A)

The Hon. S.E. CLOSE (Port Adelaide—Deputy Premier, Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, Minister for Defence and Space Industries, Minister for Climate, Environment and Water):

I have been advised that for the Department for Environment and Water there is a notional budget allocation of $0.244 million for consultants in 2022-23 and a notional budget allocation of $2.258 million for contractors in 2022-23.

These notional budget allocations are based on historical average expenditure and will be subject to change during the 2022-23 financial year in accordance with departmental requirements.

As required by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet Circular PC013—Annual Reporting Requirements for 2021-22 information relating to actual expenditure on consultants and contractors in 2022-23 including the vendor, total cost and nature of work undertaken, will be detailed in annual reports published by agencies.
