Gillman Land Sale

Mr MARSHALL (Dunstan—Leader of the Opposition) (13:35): My question is to the Premier. When was the Premier first informed that the Gillman land deal with Adelaide Capital Partners was unlikely to proceed and who provided this advice?

The Hon. S.C. MULLIGHAN (Lee—Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Minister for Housing and Urban Development) (13:35): I thank the leader for his question. I am advised that ACP first made contact with the government early last week indicating that it was unlikely to be able to complete settlement. The government responded in writing to ACP, advising that it expected full settlement on this date and that revised terms, which had been put by ACP to the government, were not acceptable to the government. At approximately 11 o'clock this morning, I am advised that ACP advised the government that it would not be settling the stage 1 land contract, which it was required to, to settle 150 hectares by close of business today.
