Planning and Land Use Services
In reply to Mr TELFER (Flinders) (5 July 2023). (Estimates Committee B)
The Hon. N.D. CHAMPION (Taylor—Minister for Trade and Investment, Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Minister for Planning): I have been advised:
The $7.6 million increase in net cost of services for Planning and Land Use Services in 2022-23 is attributed to the following:
The primary increases relate to a forecast reduction in fee revenue under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 ($2.6 million) and an increase in depreciation in relation to the PlanSA e-planning portal and system ($1.6 million).
Other variations include post-budget adjustments under machinery-of-government changes to align with final chief executive agreements on budget transfers, supplementation for the increase in the superannuation guarantee in 2022-23, and changes in the allocation methodology for corporate overheads across the department during 2022-23.
