The Hon. S.E. CLOSE (Port Adelaide—Deputy Premier, Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, Minister for Defence and Space Industries, Minister for Climate, Environment and Water): I have been advised:
This grant contributes to CCSA's core activities as the peak body for the community environment sector. The grant will fund the delivery of community consultation and engagement including:
1. Facilitation of consultation and engagement with the community and member groups on environmental issues;
2. A voice for engagement with the state government on environmental issues on behalf of the community and member groups; and
3. Representation on behalf of member groups.
Specific outcomes deliverable include:
Provision of a liaison point between DEW and the sector.
Consultation with the broader conservation community on state environmental policies and programs.
Provision of representation, where requested, to facilitate communication and information exchange on environmental issues, policies and programs.
Facilitation and support for SA Nature Alliance.
Provision of community advisory and information services by way of phone, internet, face-to-face, social media, newsletters, public lectures etc.
