Environment Protection Authority
In reply to Mr COWDREY (Colton) (3 July 2023). (Estimates Committee A)
The Hon. S.E. CLOSE (Port Adelaide—Deputy Premier, Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, Minister for Defence and Space Industries, Minister for Climate, Environment and Water): I have been advised:
The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has provided advice to the neighbouring property holders in regards to sampling and testing work and the EPA's legal obligations to the site management. This has included providing a copy of the report from soil and vegetation testing results, which confirmed there was no contamination resulting from the fire at the neighbouring property. The EPA also advised the neighbouring property holders that they should seek advice from SA Health on any health concerns. The EPA will continue to advise the neighbouring property of any action that the authority intends to take in relation to the site.
