SA Water
In reply to Mr COWDREY (Colton) (3 July 2023). (Estimates Committee A)
The Hon. S.E. CLOSE (Port Adelaide—Deputy Premier, Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, Minister for Defence and Space Industries, Minister for Climate, Environment and Water): I have been advised:
For 2022-23, SA Water advises that there is around a $4.35 million revenue cost to SA Water's regulated sewer customers, which equates to around a $5.60 impact on the average sewerage bill. The case for investment in the NAIS Scheme was based on wastewater customers meeting some of the cost, due to the environmental benefits of reduced volumes of discharge from Bolivar Wastewater Treatment Plant to the marine environment.
