Consultants and Contractors

The Hon. B.I. BOYER (Wright—Minister for Education, Training and Skills): I have been advised that for the Department for Education:

The estimated total cost for consultants in 2023-24 is $2 million as outlined in the 2023-24 Agency Statements Volume 1 page 196. Decisions about consultants are made on a case by case basis.

For contractors, decisions that are taken by the department to engage the services of contractors in order for it to deliver on its objectives. Again, the department will outline the names of the contracting firms where there is a commitment in 2023-24.
