PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYEE NUMBERS

The Hon. G.E. GAGO (Minister for State/Local Government Relations, Minister for the Status of Women, Minister for Consumer Affairs, Minister for Government Enterprises, Minister Assisting the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Energy): I am advised:
6.(1) Total Number of Employees with a TEC of $100,000 or more
Minister for State/Local Government Relations
As at 30 June 2008, the total number of employees with a total employment cost of $100,000 or more was three. This relates to employees within PIRSA (the Department of Primary Industries and Resources SA) under my portfolio responsibility as Minister for State/Local Government Relations.
In addition, of those employees the total number of employees over $200,000 or more was one.
Minister for the Status of Women
Minister for Consumer Affairs
For the following business units of the Attorney-General's Department that fall within my ministerial responsibility:
Office of Consumer and Business Affairs;
Office of the Liquor and Gambling Commission; and
Office for Women;
As at 30 June 2008, the total number of employees with a total employment cost of $100,000 or more was 12.
In addition, of those employees the total number of employees over $200,000 or more was two.
Total employment cost (TEC) refers to any remuneration paid or payable including salaries and wages, superannuation contributions, fringe benefits tax and any other salary sacrifice benefits in accordance with accounting policy framework 2 and 6.
