GOVERNOR'S REMUNERATION PACKAGE

The Hon. M.D. RANN (Ramsay—Premier, Minister for Economic Development, Minister for Social Inclusion, Minister for the Arts, Minister for Sustainability and Climate Change): I have been advised of the following information:

The retirement provisions for former governors are determined pursuant to the Governors' Pensions Act 1976.

The act provides for the Treasurer to make a determination of the pension to be paid to a former governor. Advice is taken from Super SA in reaching this determination. No annual provision is made in the State Governor's Establishment budget for this liability.
