Human Services Department

In reply to Mr WHETSTONE (Chaffey) (24 June 2025). (Estimates Committee A)

The Hon. N.F. COOK (Hurtle Vale—Minister for Human Services, Minister for Seniors and Ageing Well): I have been advised:

This information is not held by the Department of Human Services, however a national register of toilets including access features is available at https://toiletmap.gov.au/#.

Changing place facilities built under the Changing Places Initiative are not required to have MLAK access. This is the decision of each site owner and may be based on a range of factors including public access and safety.

Government, councils and private organisations are also entitled to invest in changing place facilities outside of the Changing Places Initiative. The Changing Places website, changingplaces.org.au/find, shows that 20 out of 26 fully constructed and operational changing place facilities in SA require an MLAK.
