New Women's and Children's Hospital

Mrs HURN (Schubert) (14:58): My question is to the Minister for Health and Wellbeing. Who is the lead on the formal consultation with clinicians regarding the new Women's and Children's Hospital—

Mrs HURN: My question is to the Minister for Health and Wellbeing. Who is the lead on the formal consultation with clinicians regarding the new Women's and Children's Hospital since the appointment of the new design team? With your leave, sir, and that of the house, I will explain.

Mrs HURN: The minister has confirmed to the house that consultation has commenced but failed to identify who is leading that process.

The Hon. C.J. PICTON (Kaurna—Minister for Health and Wellbeing) (14:59): Jane Jennings is leading the consultation work with clinicians. She is a very experienced health official who has been an executive in the Women's and Children's Health Network and has been seconded to the new women's and children's project for some time now. She has been doing excellent work in terms of conducting those consultations not only with our clinicians but also with our consumers, integrating that work with the design team and also the building team and the rest of the project, and she certainly has my full support.
