Domestic Violence Prevention and Recovery Hubs

In reply to Ms PRATT (Frome) (20 June 2025). (Estimates Committee B)

The Hon. K.A. HILDYARD (Reynell—Minister for Child Protection, Minister for Women and the Prevention of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence): I have been advised of the following:

The Northern Hub has been operational since 22 May 2024. As of June 2025, the Northern Hub co-located services include Women's Safety Services SA (WSSSA) and SAPOL. Outreach services are provided by the Legal Services Commission and a Centrelink.

Data provided from the Northern Hub from 1 June 2024 to 31 March 2025 shows:

100 per cent of services provided were for women.

45 per cent of people that accessed a service reported they had children.

24 per cent of people that accessed a service were:

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people;

People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds; or

Older women (aged 65+).

The above data does not include client-level data from SAPOL services provided at the Northern Hub.

The Southern Hub has been operational since December 2023. As of June 2025, the Southern Hub co-located services include Cedar Health Services, Domestic and Family Violence Healthcare provider; Yarrow Place, Rape and Sexual Assault Service; Women's Legal Services and Community Legal Services.

Data provided from the Southern Hub from 1 January 2024 to 31 March 2025 shows:

Approximately 99 per cent of services provided were for women.

57 per cent of people that accessed a service reported they had children.

21 per cent of people that accessed a service were:

Living with a disability;

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander;

From culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds;

Older people (65+) or

Women at risk of imprisonment or exiting imprisonment.
