CHILD PROTECTION INQUIRY

Ms CHAPMAN (Bragg—Deputy Leader of the Opposition) (15:24): My question again is to the Premier. Is it the case that, when the opposition lodges a freedom of information application with the ministerial offices following a reshuffle, all electronic ministerial office records prior to the reshuffle will be deleted?

The Hon. J.W. WEATHERILL (Cheltenham—Premier, Treasurer, Minister for State Development, Minister for the Public Sector, Minister for the Arts) (15:24): I don't know the answer to that question. It is a matter for FOI officers that make the relevant inquiries. They are independent. They make their own judgements about what records they access and that is entirely a matter for them.
