GRANTS AND SUBSIDIES

In reply to Mr MARSHALL (Norwood—Deputy Leader of the Opposition) (22 June 2012).

The Hon. A. KOUTSANTONIS (West Torrens—Minister for Manufacturing, Innovation and Trade, Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy, Minister for Small Business): I am advised that the $6.2 million for grants and subsidies comprises the following:

Programs:

South East South Australia Innovation and Investment Fund $925,000

Manufacturing Strategy $665,000

Traded Services Strategy $180,000

Water Alliance Industry $150,000

Global Maintenance USG INC $60,000

SAMP USA Water $20,000

Cleantech Partnering Program $982,000

CleverGreen™ Eco-Innovation Program $611,000

Business Sustainability Alliance Energy Efficiency Program $100,000

SME Investment Development Program $379,000

ICNSA Marketing $5,000

Other Grant Funding:

Strategic Industry Development Fund (SIDF) $2,000,000

Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union (AMWU)/Ai Group $125,000

DMITRE provides funding to the AMWU, to employ a Research Officer to ensure effective participation and input from the unions, about the future development of the manufacturing sector in South Australia.

The funding to Ai Group supports the employment of an Industry Liaison Officer, to promote the uptake of industry improvement activities and opportunities for diversification into growth industries.
