GRANTS AND SUBSIDIES

In reply to Mr MARSHALL (Norwood—Deputy Leader of the Opposition) (22 June 2012).

The Hon. A. KOUTSANTONIS (West Torrens—Minister for Manufacturing, Innovation and Trade, Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy, Minister for Small Business): I am advised that the $150,000 grant is with Business SA and is part of a three year Coaching and Mentoring Program. The grant has been provided to enable the establishment, development and consolidation of the program, leading to a self sustaining program in 2014. The total grant amount is $420,000 GST exclusive and will be expended as follows:

Financial Year 2011-12 $200,000 GST exclusive;

Financial Year 2012-13 $150,000.00 GST exclusive; and

Financial Year 2013-2014 $70,000.00 GST exclusive.

Supplies and services in Program 4 comprise the following:

Small Business Programs $265,000;

Small Business Support and Advisory services in partnership with the Federal Government $258,000;

The Business Development Council $43,000; and

Allocation of corporate support costs to the Opportunity for Small Business program in line with the Department of Treasury and Finance requirements $315,000.
