Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus

The Hon. N.J. CENTOFANTI (Leader of the Opposition) (14:26): My question is to the Minister for Primary Industries regarding the tomato brown rugose fruit virus incursion. Will the minister commit to an independent review of her government's response to the tomato brown rugose fruit virus incursion so that growers can regain confidence in the system? If not, why not?

The Hon. C.M. SCRIVEN (Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development, Minister for Forest Industries) (14:27): As I have said before on a number of occasions, once a response is complete—hopefully in this case it will mean that there has been full eradication of the tomato brown rugose fruit virus—then there is always a review of the response. Learnings are important in reviewing any action that is being taken and in preparing for any future actions on this virus or indeed on any other biosecurity incursion.
