Economic Recovery Fund

1. Has the Government abandoned the former Liberal government's Growth State Program?

2. How many jobs will be created by the Economic Recovery Fund announced by the Premier last week?

3. Was the establishment of the Economic Recovery Fund supported by a business case?

4. Has the government failed to comply with Treasurer's Instruction 17 in establishing the Economic Recovery Fund?

(a) If so, why?

(b) Was an exemption sought by his department to Treasurers Instruction 17?

5. How will the government ensure that grants to be provided under its Economic Recovery Fund will not go to employers who would have hired additional employees regardless of the provision of a grant?

5. Projects funded from the Economic Recovery Fund will be required to meet obligations as set out in funding agreements with agreed beneficiaries. These obligations will be consolidated to ensure the project is delivered and the benefits to the state are realised.
