The Hon. C.M. SCRIVEN (Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development, Minister for Forest Industries): I am advised:

That the new Management Plan for the South Australian Charter Boat Fisherythat came into effect on 1 August 2022 is in place for a period of 10 years, expiring 31 July 2032.

I am further advised that the total funding allocated to the implementation of the management plan is cost recovered through legislated licence fees in accordance with the government's cost recovery policy, which provides that the costs attributed to the management of the fishery are recovered from industry.

In regards to the consultation on the new management plan I am advised that the draft plan was developed in consultation with members of the CBASA prior to being referred to the representative of all signatories to any indigenous land use agreement that is in force in relation to any area to which the plan relates and released for public consultation for a period of two months, as required by section 44(3)(a) and 44(3)(b) of the Fisheries Management Act 2007respectively. In conducting the public consultation, key stakeholders including representative bodies of other fishing sectors and other government departments were directly invited to comment.
