PRIMARY TO SECONDARY SCHOOL TRANSITION COSTS

As I advised the committee on the day, the government has not completed a costing for the transitioning of year 7 to secondary school. The actual cost of any decision to transition year 7 would depend on the method of implementation chosen and the subsequent consequences for infrastructure requirements.

In addition, as I advised the committee, a transition of this type could also result in considerable organisational disruption to the school system.
