The Hon. J.J. SNELLING (Playford—Minister for Employment, Training and Further Education, Minister for Science and Information Economy, Minister for Road Safety, Minister for Veterans' Affairs): The South Australian 2006 equivalent cost per hour figure is $17.11 and the 2009 figure is $14.20 (in 2009 dollar terms). This shows a 17 per cent fall.

It should be noted, however, that in 2009 changes were made to the methodology for calculating the cost of VET and the scope of data used in this calculation.

The 2006 equivalent cost per hour figures, in 2009 dollar terms, for the national average and the other states and territories, are not publicly available until late December 2010.
