BRIDGE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR

The expenditure on bridge maintenance and rehabilitation varies from year to year depending upon the level of investing expenditure on rehabilitation and replacement in any one year. Funds for bridge maintenance, rehabilitation and replacement are allocated from a number of investing and operation budget lines including specific investing project allocations, the Transport System Responsiveness program and other minor works programs as well as operating allocations for periodic and routine maintenance. The expenditure from 2006-07 to 2009-10 and the budget for 2010-11 are as follows:
