OUTBACK CATTLE DRIVE
In reply to Mr PISONI (Unley) (30 June 2009).
The Hon. J.D. LOMAX-SMITH (Adelaide—Minister for Education, Minister for Mental Health and Substance Abuse, Minister for Tourism, Minister for the City of Adelaide): The South Australian Tourism Commission has advised the following:
The Cattle Drive Familiarisation program was held in May 2009 and cost $170,000, of which $90,000 was funded by the Federal Government.
It is expected that the 2010 Great Outback Cattle Drive to be held in August will generate more that $9 million in media coverage.
