The list of companies that were successful in obtaining funding under the first round of the South Australia Innovation and Investment Fund are as follow:

Australian Southern Exporters, Port Lincoln $499,250 21 Develop a commercially viable sardine value-adding business able to process over 1,000 tonnes of sardines for human consumption per annum by 2011.

Carl Zeiss Vision Australia Group, Lonsdale $1,000,000 20 Expand customised prescription lens manufacturing capability with state of the art freeform equipment to increase capacity to deliver innovative, high quality spectacle lenses.
Ferrocut AustraliaRegency Park $2,250,000 56 Establish a state of the art plate profile cutting centre at the Techport facility with concurrent expansion of existing capability in all profile cutting disciplines to capture opportunities provided through the Air Warfare Destroyer, Olympic Dam, Desalination etc.
Intex Holdings Seaford/Tonsley Park $1,000,000 45 World-leading 'bolt on' turbine technology designed to dramatically reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in new and existing car and truck fleets.
Labanalysis Services Lonsdale $3,000,000 109 A start-up company establishing a geochemical, metallurgical and environmental analysis laboratory to service SA's growing uranium, base metals, iron ore and gold industries.
Levett EngineeringElizabeth South $2,250,000 35 Expansion to position the company as a long-term production supplier to the international aerospace and defence sector.
The Pipette CompanyThebarton $366,470 31 Expand the company's clean room capability and equip it with specialised equipment required for manufacturing micro pipettes.
Samaras GroupGillman $1,000,000 30 Improve domestic capacity and be in a position to undertake custom beam manufacturing work.
