SHORT RANGE COMMUNICATION
In reply to Mr GOLDSWORTHY (Kavel) (5 July 2011).
The Hon. T.R. KENYON (Newland—Minister for Recreation, Sport and Racing, Minister for Road Safety, Minister for Veterans' Affairs, Minister Assisting the Premier with South Australia's Strategic Plan, Minister Assisting the Minister for Employment, Training and Further Education): The Motor Accident Commission provided the University of South Australia $300,000 in 2009-10 to provide a trial and evaluation of Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) equipment in vehicles. The on-road element of this trial occurred in 2010-11. A breakdown of this amount is included below:
