BRANCHED BROOMRAPE

The Hon. R.L. BROKENSHIRE (14:56): I have a supplementary question. Given that the minister has said that the policy at the moment is containment, what is the contingency if branched broomrape is discovered outside the containment area?

The Hon. G.E. GAGO (Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries, Minister for Forests, Minister for Regional Development, Minister for Tourism, Minister for the Status of Women) (14:56): That is what the model we are putting together will deal with. Those are the sorts of matters that will be addressed within this particular model. As I said, we are consulting very closely with all key stakeholders and an announcement will be made soon. The information will be made available shortly.
