STATE BANK
In reply to the Hon. I.F. EVANS (Davenport) (26 June 2013).
The Hon. J.W. WEATHERILL (Cheltenham—Premier, Treasurer, Minister for State Development, Minister for the Public Sector, Minister for the Arts): I have been advised of the following:
The South Australian Asset Management Corporation (SAAMC) has recovered and re-payed the state about a third of the indemnity paid to the former State Bank of South Australia. In broad terms and in nominal values, and if the sale proceeds from the BankSA sale and the federal incentive paid to the SA government to exit the banking business are included, the state received $2.760 billion in total.
