CHILDCARE REGULATIONS

In reply to Mr HAMILTON-SMITH (Waite) (28 June 2013).

The Hon. J.M. RANKINE (Wright—Minister for Education and Child Development, Minister for Multicultural Affairs): I have been advised:

All preschools in South Australia, regardless of whether they provide lunch care or before and after kindergarten care, are regulated according to the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.

These regulations also apply to childcare, family day care and out of school hours care.

The regulatory authority is the Education and Early Childhood Services Registration and Standards Board of South Australia, an independent agency.
