MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMS

The Hon. J.J. SNELLING (Playford—Minister for Health and Ageing, Minister for Mental Health and Substance Abuse, Minister for Defence Industries, Minister for Veterans' Affairs): The $1.5 million was specifically used for health promotion activities and not for mental health programs.

Separate funding of $1,045,000 was spent over 2011-12 and 2012-13 towards a destigmatisation campaign to change public perceptions towards people with mental illness. The campaign involved a series of television and radio advertisements along with billboards and posters.
