Water Recovery Socio-Economic Criteria

Dr CLOSE (Port Adelaide—Deputy Leader of the Opposition) (14:08): My question is to the Minister for Environment and Water. Does the minister accept that he has been discourteous to the royal commissioner by not informing him of the change in the government's position on the socio-economic criteria for water efficiency? With your leave and that of the house, I will explain.

Dr CLOSE: The senior counsel assisting the royal commission, in response to an answer given yesterday by the minister, made the following public statement: 'Minister Speirs submitted to the commissioner and to the Productivity Commission—
