Minister for Police

In 2006-07 SAPOL paid $3,000 grant funding to the Australian Crime Prevention Council. The grant funding was used in the support of the Australian Crime Prevention Council as a national body. No grant funding was provided to the Australian Crime Prevention Council during 2007-08.

Grant funding in 2006-07 and 2007-08 of $97,000 and $99,000 respectively were paid to Safer Communities Australia Inc. This grant funding was used for expenses related to raising awareness about public safety and the recruitment of new volunteers.

In accordance with Treasurer's Instruction (TI) 15 (reissued 14 November 2007), a written agreement setting out the terms and conditions associated with grant funding paid to the ACPC and SCA is required. Grant agreements were established in 2007-08 with both organisations.
