PUBLIC SERVICE CUTS

The Hon. I.F. EVANS (Davenport) (14:56): My question is again to the Treasurer. Will the Treasurer be maintaining the government's budget position of cutting almost 4,000 public sector full-time jobs?

SNELLING (Playford—Treasurer, Minister for Employment, Training and Further Education) (14:56): I do not know how many times I can try and vary the answer a bit to essentially what is the same question. This government is committed to financial sustainability. I am committed as Treasurer to financial sustainability. I will not allow the state to essentially run up a credit card debt which gets left to our—
