The Hon. D.W. RIDGWAY (Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment): After careful consideration it has been decided not to disclose the details and value of the investment in the event based on the commercial value of the information. This commercial value would be destroyed or diminished if disclosed. This is consistent with the position adopted by the former government on disclosing the cost of major events.
