Working with Children Checks
In reply to Ms PRATT (Frome) (7 September 2022).
The Hon. N.F. COOK (Hurtle Vale—Minister for Human Services):
I am advised that workers, such as those in my office who are in administrative positions, are not undertaking 'child-related work' as defined in the Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016and its Regulations. As such, I am advised that staff in my office are not required to have a working with children check although records are maintained of those who do have this check.
