Metropolitan Fire Service
In reply to Mr KNOLL (Schubert) (28 July 2017). (Estimates Committee B)
The Hon. C.J. PICTON (Kaurna—Minister for Police, Minister for Correctional Services, Minister for Emergency Services, Minister for Road Safety, Minister Assisting the Minister for Health, Minister Assisting the Minister for Mental Health and Substance Abuse): I am advised:
In 2016-17, the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) had a revised expenditure budget of $137.4Â million. As published in the 2016-17 audited financial statements, the MFS's total expenses were $135.5 million. This is a favourable variance of $1.8 million and includes revaluations for annual leave, long service leave and workers compensation ($5.7 million net favourable).
