South Road Tram Overpass
Mr PISONI (Unley) (14:53): My question is to the Minister for Transport and Infrastructure. Can the minister advise the house what has been the cost so far of the South Road tram overpass bridgeworks since the now identified design fault saw the permanent closure of the bike path and South Road for four days?
The Hon. S.C. MULLIGHAN (Lee—Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Minister for Housing and Urban Development) (14:53): I thank the member for Unley for his question. I should point out that he said in his question 'the permanent closure of the bike path'. While the bike path remains closed, it is the intention and the commitment of the government that, once the appropriate engineering solution is successfully installed, we will have that bike path back and for use by the communities on either side of South Road. I think the substance of his question was: what are the costs to date? I haven't got that figure, but I will endeavour to find out for him.
