Major Projects Fund
Mr GRIFFITHS (Goyder) (15:06): My question is to the Minister for Regional Development. Minister, given the importance of investing in regional South Australia, why did it take 100 days to announce the guidelines for the major projects fund and invite applications?

The Hon. G.G. BROCK: Are we right?
Mr Griffiths: Absolutely.
The Hon. G.G. BROCK: I just want to make it quite clear that, while we may have taken a while, we wanted to make certain that the criteria for all the funds were correct. We want to make certain we get the best opportunity to get the money out there—money for creating job opportunities. Therefore, if the members on the other side have any suggestions of how we may be able to improve, I am only too happy to take those on board before we look at the programs for next year.
