That the report of the committee be adopted.

The Hon. R.I. LUCAS (Treasurer) (16:30): In speaking to close the debate, I want to thank the members of the Standing Orders Committee. From informal discussion with other members of this chamber, I understand, even though not everyone has spoken, there is support for the recommendations of the report of the Standing Orders Committee and we look forward, with the passage of this motion, to the next stage in finalising the process of amending our standing orders.

That the amendments be presented to the Governor by the President for approval pursuant to section 55 of the Constitution Act 1934.
